Entry Policy - The Ferndown Pyramid
Ferndown Upper School works in close collaboration with other schools in East Dorset. As a founding member of the East Dorset Education Partnership (EDEP), we can ensure that children progressing from Year 8 in middle schools across the region quickly settle into their Year 9. We work very closely with other schools so that staff development happens in partnership. Support services are also available across the group of schools so that we can learn from each other.
The 1988 Education Reform Act entitles parents to apply to any school of their choice, wherever they live. Enquiries are welcome from all interested parents. At present, the majority of students transfer from schools within the pyramid below.
